Week Five Question

Since it is opening night, what do feel most nervous about tonight? What do you feel could have been done to relieve this stress? What advice would you give someone looking to take this class in the future?

Have an understudy from the beginning! Hahaha. Y'all know I'm just joking.
I, personally, am really nervous about getting up in front of an audience for the first time with this show. It really would have been nice to have had an audience last night, just so we could prepare and know what our audience will potentially laugh at and all that jazz.
I don't think anything could have been done to relieve my stress of being nervous at this particular point in time (given that I was only handed ths script about a week and a half ago). But, as some always say, "bad dress, good show."
It's going to go well. We all just need to get our mind set with that attitude that it will.
It's the day of the show, y'all!
Break a leg!

Honestly, I didn't go into opening night feel ing very stressed at all. I really felt it beforehand and I know that there were some time-management decisions that would have made life easier, but I went in there with everything I wanted done, done. Which is how every designer should go into opening night, I think.
Someone going into this class should expect to have a lot of work thrown at them and be willing to get it done as quickly as possible. However, there's a limit as Doc told me, and once you don't know for sure you'll be able to do things, say no. For the love of God say no or get an assistant.
